Jeffrey Gurfinkel won his second career victory and biggest tournament payout ever. He collected $50,446 for first place, plus his first WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Gurfinkel’s win was a most decisive victory. He was never in serious danger of elimination. During the nearly six-hour final table, he was near the chip lead or held the top spot during the entire time. He began play ranked third in chips, but once the bigger stacks were knocked out, Garfunkel became the player to beat. Yet no player was able to overcome his decisive advantage.

With this victory, Gurfinkel joins the Event #1 winner (Richard Smith) as the two early leaders in this WSOP Circuit’s “Best All-Around Player” standings. The player who accumulates the most overall points in Atlantic City’s twelve combined gold ring tournaments receives a pre-paid entry into the $1 million 2011-2012 WSOP Circuit National Championship, to be held in Las Vegas, next May. At least two players from this tournament series will qualify for the WSOP Circuit National Championship, which is classified as a WSOP gold bracelet event. The other automatic qualifier will be the winner of Harrah’s Atlantic City’s Main Event championship.

With the second tournament wrapped up, there are still ten more gold ring events remaining in what is being billed as a “12 rings in 12 days” poker series. The WSOP Circuit at Harrah’s Atlantic City continues through December 12th.

This year’s schedule includes not only all the gold ring events, but multiple second-chance tournaments (at 5 pm and 7 pm most days), single table and mega satellites, plus cash games going around the clock inside the Harrah’s Poker Room.

Gurfinkel, also went to final table Event 5: No Limit Hold’em and placed 6th.

At Action Finder, we believe that the key to a truly useful “action finder” type mobile application are the people who use it. We love our people.

This is driving thought behind one of the main features of our soon to be released Action Finder mobile application. One way that we are including the poker community in our app is by giving poker players the power to start their own game at their favorite casino by setting up an interest list and inviting their friends – all through their mobile device in real-time. Casinos will be able to leverage this feature to obtain, engage, and retain players.

Behind every great piece of technology there is a great community supporting it and making it better. Every day we are inspired by the feedback and support we receive from our community of friends. Please keep sharing.

Our very good friend Scott Baumstein made it into the press spotlight as he dominated the first four days of the World Poker Tour Amneville, France. He is having a very good year – finishing 4th in this years WSOP Shootout and 29th in the WSOP NLH.

We figured it was a good time to get personal about Scott. He is the type of person you hate and love. Most people hate playing poker with him because his competitiveness can be extremely intimidating. But the good thing about Scott is once you get him away from the felt, he is a really nice guy and one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. We are fortunate enough to know both sides.

Thanks for repping Action Finder during the entire tournament Scott. We love you.

Update: Scott just final tabled the $10K “High Roller” Dutchmaster Tournament in Amsterdam.
